Andersen Farms is a 118-year old grain farm in eastern South Dakota owned and operated by Art and Charlotte Andersen, fourth generation farmers and hunters. Once operating in 12 different South Dakota counties, Andersen Farms has a long and established history in the state. 30yrs of intense farming was enough for Art and Charlotte, and the farm was reduced to land in three close counties. Andersen Farms is a working grain farm of several thousand acres, now being managed for prime Ringneck Pheasant hunting.

CRP, shelterbelts, and nesting areas abound, along with an excess of grain and natural food. The upland bird hunting at Andersen Farms was developed over the years for private use and is now being offered to an exclusive few as a unique, premium pheasant hunting experience.

Art knows hunting!
He has hunted extensively worldwide, and knows what experienced hunters want when they select a hunt with an outfitter. The hunt, the surroundings, and the amenities are all first class and designed for the discriminating upland bird hunter and client.

Art grew up with hunting, starting with wild turkey and whitetail deer when he was 9 yrs old. Art's Mother, Louise was a hunter, and is probably responsible for Art's early interest in shooting and hunting. Art had a gun in his hand at 5yrs old, and was free to hunt and shoot on his own at 5yrs of age.

Charlotte's hunting includes upland game, turkey, and plains game in Africa. Charlotte's a veteran of two dangerous game safaris in Tanzania, and will be starting to hunt North American big game this year. Already an excellent shot, Charlotte has started her own trophy collection and will be adding to it every year.

Both Charlotte and Art and graduates of Buz Fawcett's School of Instinctive Shooting, and shoot year round.
